Study Abroad to Germany May 2020

Join LRSC for the Alps Adventure in May. (May 18, 19, or 20 through May 28, 29, or 30) 2020.

Say the word Germany and the word that often comes to mind is Oktoberfest or Switzerland. You might also think of delicious and Swiss chocolate.

But the real show of the area is the charm of the Alpine life.  From mountaintop to valley floor, castle to beer hall, the Alps are a fascinating experience.

This upcoming Study Abroad adventure includes visiting three countries:  Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Highlights include a visit to Dachau, the first concentration camp that Hitler opened to hold political enemies. A tour to Neuschwanstein Castle tucked away in the Alps looks like the Disney Castle it inspired.

Visit the famous Lion Monument in Lucerne and travel to the top of the Alps on a Swiss Alps Experience. In Heidelberg, enjoy not only the castle, but also the giant wine barrel.  Enjoy the last day of your study with a cruise down the Rhine River.

To obtain the most from this experience, take the trip for 3 Humanities credits by first completing a pre-requisite with a designated Humanities credit. Also, join the travel group as they learn conversational German to help them in all three countries, as all areas speak German. Before going, enjoy a sneak peek by viewing some of the excellent Rick Steves videos on youtube.
