The 2023 “Rockin’ 80’s” Key Event was a huge success, and as Carol Leevers would like to say, “The best one ever!” Thanks to all of you who supported us with your attendance, your financial contributions, and your 80’s spirit, we are pleased to announce that we raised $100,000 that will help support students at Lake Region State College. Mark your calendars for October 25, 2024, our next year’s Key Event fundraiser. Plans are already underway!

The Aspen Institute Names Lake Region State College as a Top 150 U.S. Community Colleges Eligible for the 2025 Aspen Prize
The Aspen Institute named Lake Region State College as one of the 150 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation's signature recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges. The institutions selected for this honor stand out among more than 1,000 community colleges nationwide as having high and improving levels of student success as well as equitable outcomes for Black and Hispanic students and those from lower-income backgrounds.

This year the college is jumping into the DeLorean time machine and going back a few decades for a Rockin’ 80s Key Event. This year’s Key Event is October 27th in the Hofstad Ag Center. The event starts at 5:30 pm and incudes raffles, games, silent and live auction, dinner, and entertainment.
