LRSC Travel Club/Study Abroad

Travel Club

Each year, LRSC offers students the opportunity for a short-term Study Abroad program. Travel Club was recently established to allow interested students not only to learn about the upcoming year’s program but also to provide input for future programs. The club meets to make sure interested students understand the scholarships available, avenues for paying for the trip, and the credit associated with the trip (both pre-reqs and actual travel class HUMS 211). Meetings are held periodically to ensure students understand what they need to do to prepare for Study Abroad (passports, money, dress) and what to do while studying abroad (cultural norms, safety, highlights to see, expected behaviors).  All students are invited to attend whether signed up for the trip or not.

GEN ED GOALS III and IV, specifically, III 1 and 3 and IV 1 and 4.
