The Lake Region State College network has been updated to exclude the use of TikTok effective July 1st, 2023. The ban is to protect information and reduce the possible cybersecurity threats associated with using TikTok.
Restricting TikTok on campus IT infrastructure is a result of North Dakota State Board of Higher Education (SBHE) action earlier this year to ban TikTok on the 11 North Dakota University System campus networks.
All traffic to TikTok through the Lake Region State College network, wireless and wired, will be blocked. The TikTok app will also be removed from LRSC-owned devices.
