Awards were presented during the Lake Region State College Peace Officer Training graduation ceremonies December 16th.
Scholarship recipients were recognized. Heather Arnold received the Valence Pascal Scholarship, Alex Ellis received the Perry Horner Scholarship and Sasia Heitkamp received the Leon Timboe Scholarship.
Other awards given during graduation included:
• Top Gun Award: Josh Gartner and Jackie Mitchell
• Emergency Vehicle Operation: Heather Arnold
• Fitness Leadership: Brandon Sloan
• Most improved fitness: Sasia Heitkamp
Academic Honors went to valedictorian Heather Arnold and salutatorian Josh Gartner.
The next peace officer training academy will start in January in Minot and summer academies in Grand Forks and West Fargo.
