Student athletes at Lake Region State College made their academic mark this past year.
All Lake Region State College men’s and women’s athletic teams earned rankings on the NJCAA Academic Team list for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The women’s division I basketball team was named #12 with a 3.5 GPA. Women’s division II softball and volleyball also gained spots on the list, softball grabbing the 93rd spot with a 3.14 GPA and women’s volleyball hitting #27 on the list with a 3.43 GPA.
LRSC men’s division I basketball team holds the 8th spot on the list with a 3.08 GPA, while men’s division II baseball earned #27 on the list with a 3.27 GPA.
Being a student athlete comes with extra challenges when it comes to staying on top of grades. Late nights, long road trips, practice, and finding time to do homework in between all of this requires hard work and effort.
