The Lake Region State College Playmakers are making ready to present their spring comedy: Neil Simon’s Fools!
Leon Tolchinsky is ecstatic. He's landed a terrific teaching job in an idyllic Russian hamlet. When he arrives he finds people sweeping dust from the stoops back into their houses and people milking upside down to get more cream. The town has been cursed with Chronic Stupidity for 200 years and Leon's job is to break the curse within 24 hours or becomes chronically stupid himself.
With time running out and an insane love triangle, Leon must use all of his knowledge and wit before he is stripped of both. This family friendly comedy was written by the king of American comedy himself Neil Simon, best known for his plays The Odd Couple, Plaza Suite, and Brighton Beach Memoirs amongst many others. Simon’s writing will guarantee to keep people of all ages laughing from the time the play begins until the curtain comes down.
