The 2022 trip begins in Nice, the capital of the French Riviera. Enjoy the coastline of the Mediterranean or if you're feeling lucky, go to Monaco ruled by the Grimaldis, Europe's oldest royal family and try your luck in the Monte Carlo Casino. Continue along the Mediterranean coast with its mesmerizing blue waters to the city of Avignon, which took the place of Rome in the 1300s. Seven popes served from here. In 2013, Avignon was deemed the Capital of Culture in Europe and no surprise: it is home to a dozen or more museums and boasts over 150 mansions.

Move from France, but still following the Mediterranean coastline to Barcelona in Southern Spain. Anthony Gaudi, a famous architect, dominates the sites to see from infamous Park Guell, which Gaudi designed to towering - yet unfinished - La Sagada Familia,  a small Roman Catholic basilica. If you so choose, you can visit the 9th century Monastery of Montserrat and if conditions are right, see the cherished Black Virgin. Close out your time in Madrid with a rousing authentic Flamenco Dinner Show.

A bit further inland, the next stop is Madrid. Although known for many things, it is most famous for the Prado Museum. Attend a traditional Spanish Evening & Dinner, serenaded by tuna music. Take a day for Toledo, a cliff-top city and home to a Gothic Cathedral that has over 750 stained glass windows. End the trip in Lisbon, Portugal, a beautiful maritime city where every sidewalk is a work of art. This time you can choose yet another musical evening with yet another distinct style of music: the Fado, Portugal's national music treasure with mournful lyrics about love and life.

Most importantly, do not leave Lisbon without sampling Ginjiha, a cherry liqueur served in a chocolate cup.
