Marketing

Program Description

The Marketing program prepares students for exciting jobs in sales, digital marketing, and marketing management.
Lake Region State College offers a Certificate and an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in marketing. Students also can go the route of an Associate in Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing. 

These options provide a balanced education that will equip students for today's job market. The program of study requires students to complete general education courses and program requirements. These courses have been carefully selected to help you develop a working knowledge of the principles of marketing in a business environment.

As a graduate of the Marketing program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of marketing functions.
  • Demonstrate selling competencies.
  • Understand the elements of sales promotion and prepare a sales promotion plan.
  • Understand the free enterprise system.
  • Understand the importance of customer relationship building.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of retail promotions.
  • Identify employment opportunities and apply employment-seeking skills.
