Lake Region State College students attended the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Fall Leadership Conference, Monday, October 20th at the University of Jamestown.

Minot, N.D. — The State Board of Higher Education (SBHE) selected Brent Sanford to serve as the commissioner of the North Dakota University System (NDUS) during today’s board meeting.

The State Board of Higher Education named Dr. Carmen Simone as the permanent president at Lake Region State College (LRSC). Simone has been interim president at LRSC since July 1, 2025.

Lake Region State College has surpassed 1,900 students this fall, a figure it hasn’t seen since before the COVID pandemic.

Lake Region State College recently donated 20 boxes of textbooks to Books for Africa.
