Empowering Students to Shape the Future of LRSC

Student Government serves as the voice of Lake Region State College students and leads the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Made up of elected student senators, the group is open to anyone interested in shaping student life. Members work with college leadership on decisions affecting the campus community.

Student Government and CAB manage student activity funds. They organize events and programs that support learning, culture, social connection, and student well-being. CAB accepts funding requests from clubs, students, and faculty for activities benefiting the student body. To receive funding or support, campus clubs and organizations must be officially recognized by Student Government. They set the recognition guidelines.

How do I become Involved?

Participation is simple—just make your presence known! All gatherings are open to every Lake Region State College student.

Any full-time LRSC student with a minimum GPA of 2.0 can join Student Government. You may also take it as a 1-credit course toward graduation.

What is the schedule for Student Government Meetings?

Student Government convenes weekly, at noon on Wednesdays, in Heritage Hall.

How does Student Government benefit me?

Engaging in student leadership offers many opportunities. Students can connect with peers and develop leadership skills by presenting ideas to administration.

Participants enhance their resumes by serving on committees and helping plan campus events. They can also represent Lake Region State College at North Dakota Student Association events
