Psychology Pathway
Why do people think, feel, learn, connect, and behave the way they do? Psychology explores these questions through the scientific study of the mind and behavior. If you are curious about people and interested in helping others, the Psychology Pathway at Lake Region State College gives you a strong place to begin.
Start Here. Grow Here. Go Anywhere.
From your first semester through transfer, you will work with faculty advisors who help you stay on track, explore your interests, and prepare confidently for what comes next.
Explore the Mind. Understand Behavior. Connect with People.
Psychology is more than observing how people act. It is about learning how to:
- Examine the connections among thoughts, emotions, behavior, and experience
- Understand learning, motivation, development, personality, and relationships
- Use research and evidence to explore questions about human behavior
- Recognize the influence of biology, environment, culture, and society
- Communicate thoughtfully and approach people with curiosity and empathy
These skills will help you better understand people, evaluate information, and prepare for your next step in psychology.
