Opportunities

Students in the FiTT program have the best of both worlds. With faculty in the profession, students enjoy a program that blends classroom theory and real-world experience. The last semester of the program is spent in the community, putting their knowledge to work. Students also learn how to create business and marketing plans if they decide to start their own business in the fitness industry.

Students who complete the Fitness Trainer Technician program enter the workforce or transfer to a university to continue studies in athletic training, exercise science, kinesiology, physical therapy, or related fields.

FiTT Student Quote: I chose LRSC because of the family-like dynamic. All of the professors, faculty, lunch ladies, etc. all know your name and just want the best for you! I chose my program because I want to be a physical therapist, and learning the tougher science classes at a smaller school allows for one-on-one help when needed! I am so happy with my decision. Kory Boehmer is my anatomy, chemistry, and microbiology professor and he is super helpful and truly cares about his students as people.
