Early Childhood Associate
The Associate in Applied Science in Early Childhood prepares students for careers in nursery schools, Head Start programs, or public classrooms. Students complete specialized early childhood courses and general education courses to build a strong foundation for working with young children. The Early Childhood program is offered on campus, online, and at Grand Forks Air Force Base (GFAFB).
The one-year certificate program is a fast-track option that provides essential skills for entry-level positions with young children or for individuals interested in operating a family child care business. View the Early Childhood Fact Sheet.
DISCLAIMER: The LRSC Early Childhood Associate program offers a two-year associate degree. This degree qualifies individuals to work in early childhood settings. A bachelor’s degree is required to become a licensed early childhood teacher in North Dakota. Licensing requirements vary by state. Review the licensure requirements if you plan to pursue employment in another state.
