Enrollment takes about three hours, and our friendly staff will guide you through the process. Bring a valid photo ID and your Social Security card when you register.

How do I get my GED?
The first step is to attend an orientation session, which takes 1.5-2 hours. After orientation, you will prepare for and take your official tests.
How much does it cost to get a GED?
There is no charge for classes or the materials at the learning center. Official tests cost $36 each, but fees are covered for full-time ACL students.
How long does it take to get your GED?
The time required varies for each person. It depends on your starting level and how often you attend class. Regular attendance helps you finish faster.
The Battery
The Battery consists of four tests: Reasoning through Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies.
The minimum passing score on each test is 145. The highest possible score on each test is 200.
GED College Ready with scores from 165-174. GED College Ready + Credit with a score from 175-200. Honor GED graduates are those students who earn 170 and above scores on each of their GED tests.
