Communication Pathway

Communication is the study of how people create meaning, share ideas, build relationships, and influence the world around them. If you are interested in storytelling, drawn to leadership, and curious about what makes messages connect with people, the Communication Pathway at Lake Region State College is built for you.

Start Here. Grow Here. Go Anywhere.

From your first semester through transfer, you'll work with faculty advisors who help you stay on track, explore your interests, and prepare for what's next.

Discover the Power of Communication

Communication is about more than speaking clearly. It's about learning how to:

  • Understand how people create, interpret, and respond to messages
  • Share ideas across different audiences and settings
  • Listen thoughtfully, build relationships, and communicate across differences
  • Explore how media, culture, technology, and organizations shape the way we communicate
  • Connect ideas across public speaking, writing, leadership, psychology, business, and more
