What is New Student Orientation?

An introduction to LRSC that helps new students meet others, learn campus resources, and prepare for the first semester. Activities may include sessions, campus involvement fairs, and entertainment.

Why should students attend?

Orientation helps students build connections, learn about campus services, and start the semester feeling prepared and supported.

Who should attend?

Recommended for all new LRSC students. Required for all first-time freshmen at the Devils Lake campus, whether living on or off campus.

When is move-in?

Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 12:00 p.m., the day before orientation.

How does check-in work?

Check in at the Leever’s Welcome Center at LRSC. Students will receive room keys at that time.

How do I find my roommate and room assignment?

A housing letter will be mailed in July with assignment details.

When does the meal plan start?

Meal plans begin during Orientation Weekend.

When can I buy books?

Book charging begins Monday, August 10, 2026, one week before the semester starts.

When do classes begin?

Classes begin Monday of orientation after 4:00 p.m. The first full day of classes is Tuesday.
