BA Sociology/Social Work from Southwest State University in Marshall, MN 1983
MA in Counseling from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND 1985
PHD in Educational Administration w/ minor in Counseling from UND in Grand Forks, ND 1992

Experience

I worked as the Director of International Programs and Substance Abuse at UND from 1985-1990; Worked as the Director of Counseling & Student Activities at UND-LR in 1992, added Housing in 1995, 2009 took over as VP or Student Affairs and in 2014 moved to the Faculty position in Psychology.

Campus Involvement

I was the Golf Coach for LRSC.
I advised Students Older than Average Club for many years.
Advised the Student Senate for many years.
Work with Phi Theta Kappa as their application monitor and committee chair for choosing the yearly scholarship awards recipients.

Community Involvement

Served on the board at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Served on the United Way Board.
Active Member, Officer, Secretary, Trustee, State Trustee and District Deputy for the Elks Lodge 1216 in Devils Lake.
Served on the Devils Lake School Board.
Organized the on campus housing during the evacuation of Grand Forks during the flood of 1997.

Other Mentions

I grew up on a Dairy/Grain farm in Southwestern Minnesota, worked construction after graduating from college while managing the Dairy operation. Enjoy the outdoors, ice fishing, summer fishing and a good movie. My family has been in the Lake Region since 1992.
