Order graduation apparel
Stop in and order your graduation cap/grown/tassel package in the LRSC Bookstore, online or call at 701-662-1538. The deadline to order is Wednesday, March 31.

Cost: $25. Payment is due at time of order. A $10 late fee will be charged for orders placed after March 31. 

Graduation announcements and tassels also may be purchased. Announcements will be available in the bookstore April 19.

FAFSA application due
It's time to complete the FAFSA for 2010-2011 (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Complete the FAFSA soon after January 1st of each year. Priority funding deadline for some programs is March 15, 2010.

Check out other Lake Region State College scholarships available.  Priority deadline is Monday, March 1, 2010.

Clarence Laber Lion's $500 Scholarship Award, click here for application.  Deadline is Thursday, April 1, 2010.

Business and Professional Women (BPW) $500.00 scholarship.  Open to all LRSC female students who are pursuing a degree in business or other related programs for the 2010-2011 school year.  Applications available in LRSC Office of Financial Aid.  Deadline Thursday, April 1, 2010.

Summer Grand Forks peace officer academy
Grand Forks Police Department and LRSC have announced a partnership that will bring LRSC’s Peace Officer Training Program to Grand Forks. The Peace Officer Training Program is a one-semester basic police academy that results in license eligibility for program graduates. Unlike traditional college criminal justice programs, graduates of the 20-semester hour Peace Officer Training Program are immediately hirable by law enforcement agencies as the students have completed all necessary training to obtain a peace officer license in North Dakota.

Lake Region State College is building its center of excellence The Dakota Center for Technology-Optimized Agriculture.

Centers of Excellence allow colleges and universities to partner with private sector companies to increase educational opportunities for students and create quality jobs and careers in the community.

The center assists high plains grain growers in adopting technologies that lessen input costs and increase profitability. This center also creates spin-off technologies and additional job opportunities in the region.
