What is College Steam for Kids?

College STEAM for Kids is a fun, enriching program, that challenges kids to use their imaginations, ask questions, think creatively, experiment, meet new friends, and experience a taste of college. The courses are designed to be fun and educational. 

Kids who have completed Kindergarten through grade five and their skill levels, interests, maturity, and self-reliance are at a level to enjoy a challenging experience.

Program Structure

  • The program will run July 15-18, 2024.
  • Sessions start promptly; session one: 12:55-2:10 pm; session two: 2:15-3:30 pm; and session three: 3:50-5:05 pm.
  • Monday: Check-in 12:00-12:45 pm OR at your first session.
  • Students are divided into classes by grade completed; Grades K-1-2 or Grades 3-4-5.
  • They can choose to attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions.
  • There will be no supervision after 5:15 pm.
  • Kids are responsible for their behavior on campus.
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for transportation to and from Lake Region State College.

Registration

  • Select the correct session and grade completed when registering your kid(s).
  • Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Class sizes are limited to 12 students unless noted otherwise.
  • No phone registrations.
  • If you require auxiliary service aid or have food allergies, please notify us when you register.

Fees

Fees are $30.00 per class session per person. Full payment is due while registering. Supplies are included in the class fee unless noted otherwise. There may be additional supply fees for some classes. The supply fee payment is due while registering. Scholarships are available for qualified families. Inquire and register in person at Lake Region State College.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

LRSC has adopted a NO REFUND policy for all sessions unless the session is canceled due to low enrollment.  Parents will be contacted by phone or email when a class is canceled.
