Colden Hutton to lead LRSC Women's basketball

Women’s Basketball at Lake Region State College is under new leadership. Lake Region State College Athletics announces Colden Hutton has been named head coach of the Royals Women’s Basketball team.

He will start his new position later this month. Hutton most recently was the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at William Woods in Fulton, MO, where the team completed the third best record in school history. Hutton has also worked as an assistant coach at Iowa Wesleyan.

Peace Officer Graduation May 2

Lake Region State College will hold graduation ceremonies for its Spring academy class Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, at 1:00 pm in Chautauqua Gallery. This is the 111th class to graduate from LRSC’s Peace Officer Training program.

Three students have completed the program. The college also is gearing up for a summer academy in West Fargo and fall academy in Grand Forks.

College for Kids steams into town

Lake Region State College announces College STEAM for Kids will be held Summer 2024.

College STEAM for Kids is a fun, enriching program. Formerly called College for Kids, the new format will have classes that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

The courses are designed to be fun and educational, to challenge kids to use their imaginations, think creatively, and meet new friends.
