What to know about New Student Orientation:

What is new student orientation? It is a series of different activities that help new students get to know each other and the many different resources available on our campus. 

Why is new student orientation important to attend? It's an opportunity to make new friends while learning about our campus so that new students and first-time freshmen do not feel lost in the first week of their first semester.

Who is the new student orientation for?  New student orientation is mandatory for all incoming, first-time freshmen, whether you live on or off campus.

Living in the Residence Halls? Here are some commonly asked questions to help you:

  1. Select Self Service
  2. Select On-campus Housing
  3. Select Lake Region State College
  4. At this stage, your profile will show up which includes your room assignment, roommates, and meal plan.

When does my meal plan start? Meal plans start orientation weekend.

When can I buy books? Students may purchase their books and charge them against their student account one week before the start of each semester. 

When do classes start? The Monday of orientation after 4 pm. The first full day of classes will be on the Tuesday following orientation.
