Alliances

UND’s Office of Professional Services works with the community and organizations to promote economic development by building a strong workforce. By offering job development courses and creative solutions for those emerging into employment, individuals transitioning between careers, and people recruited to the community, Professional Services supplies an important service for meeting the workforce challenges of today and the needs of tomorrow.

Job Service North Dakota has a long standing relationship with North Dakota’s workforce training system, TrainND. This relationship is beneficial to our citizens as they work to enhance their working skills and increase their knowledge database.

The Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, partners with TrainND Northeast to train in-home care providers. To participate in the training, individuals must first contact their county social service office for a referral to the training program.

The North Dakota Small Business Administration, working together with an extensive network of public and private resource partners, is dedicated to assisting the small business community and promoting economic development in the State of North Dakota.

Additional Partners and Collaborations
In addition to the alliances listed above, TrainND Northeast relies on contact with local, regional, and national organizations for demographic information, workplace trend information, service referrals, and consultation. Partnerships with regional economic developers have proved to be a valuable resource for rural and small businesses in Northeastern North Dakota. Links to some of these organizations are listed here for reference.
