Find Yourself in Admission Process
First Year You haven't taken classes for college credit since completing high school.
Returning You have previously taken courses from LRSC after completing high school and are coming back.
Transfer You attended one or more colleges/universities after graduating from high school.
Dual Credit You are a high school student (junior or senior) and would like to take classes for both college credit and high school credit.
Early Entry You are junior or senior in high school and want to get started with your college coursework.
GFAFB You are planning to take classes at Grand Forks Air Force Base - open to all area students.
International You are not US citizen or US permanent resident.
Collaborative You are earning degree from campus in the North Dakota Unversity System and would like to take course from another campus.
Transient You are planning to take class from LRSC to apply it to your program in another college/universty.
Non-Degree You don't intend to earn a degree from LRSC but would like to enroll in course.
Continuing You have previously earned degree from LRSC and would like to take a course.



First Year Student Admission

You are considered First Year Student if you have not taken courses at post-secondary institutions since you graduated from high school.
If you are applying online, choose First Year Student as your admit type.

A complete application for first year students include:
  1. Application for Admission
    Apply online or print and fill out application form
  2. One-time non-refundable $35 application fee
  3. High school transcript or GED test results
  4. Immunity record
  5. ACT results
  6. College transcript(s),if applicable. Request from registrar's office of institution granting credits.

After submitting the required documents students will be mailed a letter of acceptance and information about registering for classes.

Returning Student Admission

You are Returning Student if you have previously taken classes at Lake Region State College after you graduated from high school.
If you are applying online, choose Returning Student as your admit type.

A complete application for returning students include:
  1. Application for Admission
    Apply online or print and fill out application form
  2. High school transcript or GED test results
  3. Immunity record
  4. College transcript(s),if applicable. Request from registrar's office of institution granting credits.

Dual Credit Student Admission

You are Dual Credit Student if you are high school junior or senior and would like to take class for both - high school credit and college credit.
If you are applying online, choose Dual Cedit Student as your admit type.

A complete application for dual credit students include:
  1. Application for Admission
    Apply online or print and fill out application form
  2. One-time non-refundable $35 application fee
  3. Immunity record (if you are taking classes on-campus)
  4. Dual credit permission form

Early Entry Student Admission

You are Early Entry Student if you are high school junior or senior and wish to get early start on your college coursework.
If you are applying online, choose Early Entry Student as your admit type.

A complete application for early entry students include:
  1. Application for Admission
    Apply online or print and fill out application form
  2. One-time non-refundable $35 application fee
  3. High school transcript showing proof of Junior status and 3.0 grade point average or GED test results
  4. Immunity record (if you are taking classes on-campus)

Grand Forks AFB Student Admission

Grand Forks Air Force Base Campus application for admissions form. Please do not apply through CampusConnection if you are going to be taking courses at the Grand Forks Air Force Base Campus.

If you are planning to take classes at Grand Forks Air Force Base, Cavalier Air Force Station or Thule Air Base in Greenland, you are don't need to provide proof of immunization.

Additional forms that need to be submitted depend on your student category.

If you are junior or senior in high school, apply as Early Entry student.

If you are high school graduate and just starting your college education, follow instructions for First Year students.

If you have previously taken classes with Lake Region State College after completing high school and coming back to finish your degree apply as Returning student.

If you are student at another college/university and would like to transfer to Lake Region State College you are considered Transfer student.

If you do not intend to earn a degree from Lake Region State College or taking classes to apply toward you degree in another college/university follow admissions guidelines for Non-Degree students.



Collaborative Student Admission

If you are earning degree from campus in the North Dakota University System and would like to take course at another campus you are considered Collaborative Student.

If you are earning degree from one of the University System campuses and would like to take courses from LRSC to apply toward your degree, you do not need to apply for admission at Lake Region State College.

E-mail, call or visit with your campus collaborative contact to arrange registration for class.

Transient Student Admission

You are Transient Student if you are enrolling at Lake Region State College for one term only and planning to transfer the credits earned to apply toward a degree at another institution.
If you are applying online, choose Transient Student as your admit type.

A complete application for transient students include:
  1. Application for Admission
    Apply online or print and fill out application form
  2. One-time non-refundable $35 application fee
  3. Immunity record for those who are taking classes on-campus

If you don't intend to earn a degree from Lake Region State College and wish to take classes for self-enhancement, self-satisfaction, or other personal reasons related to life-long learning, you are considered Non-Degree Student.
If you are applying online, choose Non-Degree Student as your admit type.

  1. Application for Admission

  2. One-time non-refundable $35 application fee
  3. Immunity record if you are planning to take classes on-campus
