Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education is an educational program that can help you extend learning process beyond the classroom and is enhanced with hands-on experience.

Experience – Learn in the classroom and apply skills directly in your workplace. Coop Ed program is a unique opportunity that enables you to integrate classroom learning with practical professional experience in your field of study.

Academic credit - Cooperative Education is an academic program and is designed to provide academic credit for experienced gained by student. You can obtain a maximum of three credit hours per semester for a maximum of four semesters.

Paycheck – Most of the students in the Coop Education program earn a salary while gaining valuable practical experience in their field.


Work closely with your advisor, COOP Ed Coordinator and the work-site supervisor to ensure learning objectives, career goals and program outcomes. Learn more about career fields, jobs available on-campus and in the community and career planning.

All students enrolled in Cooperative Education will receive a packet that contains a training agreement, monthly calendars, and required assignments for the course.
