"I’m excited about Lake Region State College’s nursing program. As Nursing Supervisor at Altru Clinic—Lake Region, I have witnessed the high quality nurses this program produces, both in clinical situations and through the employment process. The nurses are well trained and demonstrate positive attitudes and a strong work ethic. LRSC’s nursing program allows for local training of area residents wishing a career change, adding maturity to this program and they are “familiar faces” to many of our patients. I feel we are very fortunate to have a local nursing program of this caliber, especially in the midst of a nation wide nursing shortage," Cheryl Fischer, BSN

"I attended LRSC for the two year practical nursing program. I had previously attended LRSC to obtain my AA degree. The staff is always willing to go out their way to help you, the class sizes are perfect – so you're a "name" and not a "number" and the cost of education is very reasonable. The nursing program gave me the skills I needed to become a professional."
- Sarah Mitzel, Minnewaukan, ND, Associate in Arts 2003, AAS in practical nursing 2004, LPN at Altru Clinic Lake Region

"The main reason I chose to attend LRSC is because it is close to home, so I did not have to travel any distance to obtain my degree. I was able to stay with my family throughout my entire education. The other reason that I chose LRSC is because it is a small, friendly campus and because I am an other than average student, the staff, facility and other students made me feel welcome and wanted. I would gladly recommend LRSC to friends, family and anyone else because of the great education that was able to receive. Thanks to LRSC staff and facility (not to mention a lot of hard work and will power) I will begin a career in nursing at Mercy Hospital as one of the newest LPNs."
- Jennifer Gotter, 2004 graduate
