Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

The Nurse Assistant Program at LRSC was developed to meet the growing demand for Certified Nurse Assistants to work in health care settings such as long-term care facilities, home health care programs, hospitals, developmental disability care facilities, and respite care services.
The Program consists of 75.5 hours of training which is a combination of classroom instruction, lab instruction, and hands-on clinical practice. Each instructional cycle allows time for intensive and individualized instruction. The course is normally delivered in a format that involves attending class full-time for two weeks.

|
CNA Exam At the conclusion of the two-week training program, students will be qualified to take the North Dakota Nurse Assistant Certification exam. Successful completion of this test qualifies students to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
Financial Matters Some long-term care facilities partner with LRSC to make Nurse Assistant training available. Students who plan to complete only the Nurse Assistant program are not eligible for federal financial aid. Students who are degree-seeking may be eligible to receive federal financial aid.
