RESIDENCE LIFE COMMUNITY STANDARDS,
SERVICES AND RULES
BICYCLE RENTALS
All LRSC students are welcome to ride the bikes purchased by the college or donated by
friends of the college for student use. We ask that you treat the bikes gently and return
them promptly to the rack so others can use them.
If a bike needs adjustment or repairs, report the problem to a Resident Assistant who will
see that it gets fixed. We want to keep all the bikes in good working order.
Bikes are available by checkout through Housing. When bikes are checked out you will
receive a lock and key. Lock, key, and bike are to be returned at the end of your college
year. If not returned you will be charged $200.
BOARD (MEAL) PLAN CHANGES
Board plans can be decreased only during the first two weeks of the semester. Board plans
can be increased at any times during the semester. Contact the Director of Housing in
writing to make these changes.
CANDLES AND INCENSE
For fire and safety reasons, candles, lanterns and incense are not permitted in the
residence hall rooms for any reason.
CARE AND CLEANING OF ROOMS
Students are expected to keep their rooms clean. Students are responsible for taking their
trash and recycling to the appropriate bins on a regular basis. Custodians will vacuum
floors in common areas such as halls, lobbies and lounges; nonetheless, students are
expected to pick up personal belongings when leaving common areas.
