Enrollment increases at LRSC this spring

By   Erin Wood

Enrollment at Lake Region State College experienced a growth spurt in the 2018 spring semester.

The college has 460 full-time students compared with 428 full-time students last year and 440 full-time students in spring 2016, according to the LRSC Registrar’s Office. Total enrollment  at LRSC this spring semester is 1,829 students compared with 1,748 students last spring.

Part-time enrollments total 1,369 compared with 1,320 last year. Total credit hours also increased with the college producing 13,542 credits this spring and 12,686 last spring semester.

“There’s always room for growth at Lake Region State College and it’s good to see more students enroll in our institution. We know our smaller class sizes and one-on-one interaction is a good fit with many students whether they are earning the first two years of their bachelor’s degree, seeking fast entry into the work force with one of our technical degrees, or still deciding their career path,” said LRSC President Doug Darling.

The fourth week count is a snapshot of the students served at Lake Region State College. A report will be issued summer 2018 that reports total students served during the academic year.

Lake Region State College is a student-centered, open-access, comprehensive community college within the North Dakota University System. The college provides quality academic education, vocational/technical training, workforce training, educational outreach opportunities, and life-long learning.
