Spots available for College for Kids

From July 17th to July 20th, Lake Region State College will be holding College for Kids for students in 1st through 6th grade.

This program is a fun and enriching promoting kids to use their imagination, asks questions, think creatively, meet new friends, and experience college at an early age. The course load is designed to be educational and fun but also challenging. No assigned homework or grades will be given out to campers.

Kids who have completed 1st  through 6th grade and their skill levels, interests, maturity, and self-reliance should be at a level to enjoy a challenging experience. 

The program will run Monday through Thursday July 17th-20th. Kids can choose to attend all three, just two, even one session per day. There will be groups divided as grades 1-2-3 and grades 4-5-6.

There are plenty of classes offered including approximately eight per session.

Session one will go from 12:55-2:10 pm; session two 2:15-3:30 pm; and session three 3:50 to 5:05 pm. There will be no supervision after 5:15 pm. Kids are responsible for their behavior on campus, and parents are responsible for their ride to and from Lake Region State College.

Fees are $25.00 per class session per student. Supplies are included in the class fee unless noted otherwise. Full payment is due when registering. Check in on Monday will go from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm for students to pick up their t-shirt and name tag.

Sign-ups began on May 2nd but there is still time to sign up. Space is limited.
