Auto program enhanced through endowment

By   Erin Wood

The Automotive Technology program at Lake Region State College recently added some new tools to enhance the learning experience for students.

The tool purchase was made possible through an endowment established by Devils Lake residents Armen and Connie Hanson. The endowment specifically provides program support for auto, agriculture, and nursing programs at LRSC.

The variety of tools from impact wrenches, sockets, and testing equipment will be used by the students in their hands-on learning labs. These updated tools will replace an older inventory that students had used.

“The Hanson family are generous supporters of LRSC’s Automotive Technology program, and the college as a whole,” said Randy Olson, automotive technology associate professor at LRSC.
