LRSC Playmakers Production opens March 3 in Robert Fawcett Auditorium

Wedding bells will be ringing as Lake Region State College Playmakers present Alan Ball’s comedy “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.”
Director Casey Paradies says about the show, “if you were a fan of the movie Bridesmaids, you will find yourself rolling in the aisles as these five women candidly reveal their perspectives on life and in-turn find more in common with each other than they realize.” Performances will take place March 3, 4, and 5 at 7:30 pm and March 6 at 2:00 pm in the Robert Fawcett Auditorium located on the Lake Region State College campus. Tickets are available at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for seniors. The show contains some adult language and content. 
The performances are sponsored in part by the North Dakota Council on the Arts and produced by special arrangement with the Dramatists Play Service. 
Taking place at the overdone wedding reception of Scott and Tracy McClure.  In a bedroom of Tracy’s childhood home, her five bridesmaids convene to talk about love, sex, life, and the celebration of being a woman.  They also take the time to revile the bride they are supposed to be standing up for; finding that they have much more in common with each other than they do with the bride.

The Playmakers cast consists of all LRSC students including, Jasmine Swinland plays Frances, Kaitlyn Halvorson plays Trisha, Dilyn Plemmel who plays Tripp. All three are Devils Lake High School graduates. Bailey Pelchat a Yorkton, Saskatchewan, native plays Meredith, Paige Prekker from Elko New Market, MN plays Georgeanne, and Hannah Hardcastle from Plaines, Mont., plays Mindy.
