Precision Agriculture Day at LRSC Dakota Precision Ag Center

IMG_2690--2---450x344-.jpgThe Dakota Precision Agriculture Center of Lake Region State College is holding a ‘Precision Agriculture Day’ open house on Friday, December 11 starting at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the center located at 5070 Highway 20 in Devils Lake.

The open house will include a tour of the Dakota Precision Ag Center and LRSC campus, an opportunity to meet agriculture faculty, staff and students, and a panel of agriculture industry personnel discussing career options. There will also be information on the new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle courses being offered. Admissions and financial aid representatives will be available to answer questions.

The open house is open to anyone interested in learning more about precision agriculture including high school classes, prospective students and parents. Lunch will be provided.

The Dakota Precision Agriculture program at Lake Region State College is currently the only precision ag program in the state of North Dakota and one of only a few in the United States. The program offers core classes to include both theoretical practical applications with extensive lab and hands-on training. Graduates are employed as precision technicians at implement dealerships, agronomy centers, independent precision service providers and more.
