TrainND staff earn certification

By   Erin Wood

TrainND Northeast staff at Lake Region State College have received certifications.

Annie Alexander and Jill Morseth have received the designation of Certified Program Planner, or CPP, by the Learning Resources Network (LERN), an international association in lifelong learning.

The CPP exam was passed in October 2014. By passing the CPP exam, they have demonstrated knowledge in the ten key lifelong learning areas of expertise.

CPP's receive a gold medallion, pin and a framed certificate. Annie’s accomplishment will be recognized at LERN's Annual Conference next November in Orlando, FL.

"The CPP designation is a standard of achievement in the knowledge and understanding of lifelong learning," noted LERN President William Draves. "By becoming a Certified Program Planner, Annie has helped to professionalize the
field of educational programming."

LERN was founded in 1974 and has over 4,500 members. With a staff of 15, LERN provides "Information That Works!" to over 10,000 providers of lifelong learning a year. Over 3,000 CPP's have been awarded throughout the world.
