LRSC releases fall enrollment count

By   Erin Wood

Lake Region State College announces its official headcount for Fall 2013.  The college registrar’s office reports 1,898 students this fall compared with 1,974 students fall 2012.

The college has 486 full-time students compared with 524 full-time students last year. Part-time enrollments total 1,412 compared with 1,450 last fall. Full-time equivalent headcount is 943 compared to 972 in 2012. Full-time equivalent takes the total number of credits and divides that number by 15 credit hours to gauge a full-time comparison.

“The college has been experiencing rapid enrollment growth since 2007 with Fall 2011 being a record,” said Erin Wood, Director of Marketing & Communications at Lake Region State College.  “We’re hoping to see future enrollments rebound to numbers we experienced in 2010 and 2012.”

The fall fourth week count is a snapshot of the students served at Lake Region State College. A report will be issued summer 2014 that reports total students served during the academic year.

Lake Region State College is a student-centered, open-access, comprehensive community college within the North Dakota University System. The college provides quality academic education, vocational/technical training, workforce training, educational outreach opportunities, and life-long learning.
