The North Dakota Space Grant Consortium has awarded Shaun Prince $5,000 to complete a summer faculty fellowship to work with the new Precision Agriculture Program at LRSC.

The Precision Agricultural Program at LRSC focuses its efforts on growing sector of the agricultural industry. Dr. Paul Gunderson, director of DPAC, will lead the development of the programs that he hopes will identify the best ways to deliver the technical education for the agricultural field of study. Shaun Prince, Associate Professor, will be working towards building an educational textbook for the precision ag program.

The main objective of the NDSGC is to provide and support opportunities for students to pursue research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and prepare them for careers that support NASA’s goals and the high-tech workforce development needs of North Dakota. Funding this project in course development will help NDSGC to achieve this goal.
