Lake Region State College Registrar’s Office has released its official enrollment numbers for the 2013 spring semester. This spring 1,882 students are enrolled at Lake Region State College compared with 2,021 in 2012 and 1,851 in 2011.
Full-time spring enrollments are at 461 students, compared with 490 in 2012 and 475 in 2011. The college reports 1,421 part-time students compared with 1,531 part-time students at this time last year and 1,376 in 2011. The full-time equivalent enrollment is 910 compared to 984 last year and 2011 FTE count of 901.
This enrollment count is a snapshot of the services provided by LRSC throughout the academic year. Lake Region State College serves more than 3,000 annually, which will be reflected in the North Dakota University System (NDUS) annual enrollment report published this summer.
Lake Region State College is an innovative, student-centered, open-access, community college within the North Dakota University System. Besides offering its core programs in Devils Lake, the college prides itself on responding to educational outreach requests by employers and citizens of North Dakota. Many of LRSC’s specialized programs are offered in communities throughout North Dakota to meet workforce needs. The college also partners with other North Dakota University System institutions to increase educational opportunities.
Examples of responding to state needs include peace officer training program outreach to Minot, Fargo, and Grand Forks and nursing to Mayville. Lake Region State College also has a long-time partnership with the Grand Forks Air Force Base to deliver courses and programs.
