Lake Region State College is an innovative, student-centered, open-access, community college within the North Dakota University System.  Besides offering its core programs in Devils Lake, the college prides itself on responding to educational outreach requests by employers and citizens of North Dakota. Many of LRSC’s specialized programs are offered in communities throughout North Dakota to meet workforce needs. The college also partners with other North Dakota University System institutions to increase educational opportunities.

Examples of responding to state needs include peace officer training program outreach to Minot, Fargo, and Grand Forks and nursing to Mayville. Lake Region State College also has a long-time partnership with the Grand Forks Air Force Base to deliver courses and programs.
