What is College for Kids?
College for Kids is a fun, enriching program, that challenges kids to use their imaginations, ask questions, think creatively, experiment, meet new friends, and experience a taste of college. The courses are designed to be fun and educational. They will be challenging; but no homework will be assigned or grades given.
Online registration begins on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. NO PHONE REGISTRATIONS.
Pick out a first and second choice for each time slot from the courses listed in your grade level. Registrations will be processed on a first come, first served basis…so register early! Class sizes are limited to 12 students.
If you require auxiliary service aid or have food allergies, please notify us when you register.
Who can attend?
Kids who have completed grades 1 through 6 and their skill levels, interests, maturity, and self-reliance should be at a level to enjoy a challenging experience.
The program will run Monday through Thursday on July 17-20, 2017. Kids can choose to attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions. Students are divided into classes by grade completed; Grades 1-2-3 or Grades 4-5-6.
Sessions start promptly; session one 12:55-2:10 pm; session two 2:15-3:30 pm; and session three 3:50-5:05 pm. There will be no supervision after 5:15 pm. Kids, you are responsible for your behavior on campus, and your parents are responsible for your ride to and from Lake Region State College.
Monday only: check-in between 12:15-12:45 pm to pick-up your t-shirt and name tag.

Fees are $25.00 per class session per student. Supplies are included in the class fee unless noted otherwise. Full payment is due when registering.
Scholarships are available for qualified families. Inquire and register in-person at Lake Region State College.
Class Refund/Cancellation Policy
Refunds: LRSC has adopted a NO REFUND policy for all sessions unless the session is cancelled due to low
enrollment. If this happens, the Center for Distance Education will strive to place each student in an acceptable choice.
Cancellations: A class may be cancelled due to low enrollment. The student will be placed in his/her second choice.
If no second choice is indicated or the second choice is not available, we strive to place each student in an acceptable
choice. Parents will be contacted by phone or email when a class is cancelled.
