The need to expand our instructional facilities for our technical programs had been a campus priority for years. Space limitations severely hampered the college's ability to meet instruction needs or expand programming in response to needs in our region and state. The project was listed on the State Board of Higher Educations' priority list and included in the Governor's Executive Budget. The college has not had a state appropriated funding for a new building construction or a major capital project since the construction of the Erlandson Technical Center in 1968.
