Campus and Regional Information

Dr. Mike and Carol Bower
Welcome from President Mike Bower
Community colleges, like Lake Region State College, serve a vital role in preparing students for success, either in the workforce or when moving on to a four-year degree.

North Dakota’s five community colleges launched a cooperative campaign recently to increase understanding of the value of community college education.

The initial phase of the campaign includes an online landing page to connect visitors to the colleges as well as television, print and statewide radio ads.

I invite you to see the ads and view our site to see the  great programs and staff we have at Lake Region State College.

As a community college graduate and now, as a community college president, I want you to know that many opportunities await you at your community college.

Fishing on Devils Lake
A little about the Lake Region...
Devils Lake is the largest natural body of water in North Dakota, making it an excellent vacation spot for all four seasons of the year.

The region offers some of the best fishing, hunting, camping, bird watching, hiking, and wildlife viewing in North America! Students and their families and friends take advantage of the outdoor activities in a natural paradise.

History also is abundant. The Fort Totten state historic site is the best-preserved frontier military installation west of the Mississippi. Visitors can take in an educational tour of the fort, dinner and lodging at the Totten Trail Inn, and an entertaining summer evening at Fort Totten Little Theatre, the longest running community summer theater in North Dakota.
