Campus and Regional Information

Dr. Mike and Carol Bower
Welcome from President Mike Bower
Community colleges, like Lake Region State College, serve a vital role in preparing students for success, either in the workforce or when moving on to a four-year degree.

At LRSC we are seeing growth potential with programs that are in high demand in the region and state, such as nursing, wind energy technician, automotive technology, law enforcement, and more.

However, space to expand programs at the college is limited. Classroom and lab space is maxed out, limiting the number of students we can enroll in some programs and also limiting potential growth in new program areas.

Because of this space crunch and also because classroom facility is aging and in need of some renovation, LRSC has put forth a request that our Erlandson Technical Center be funded for renovation and expansion.

This proposal along with other facility needs is addressed in the college's Facility Master plan.

View the facilities master plan.

Please read the facilities master plan. I also welcome any questions regarding the plan and other future proposed projects at LRSC.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mike Bower, President

Fishing on Devils Lake
A little about the Lake Region...
Devils Lake is the largest natural body of water in North Dakota, making it an excellent vacation spot for all four seasons of the year.

The region offers some of the best fishing, hunting, camping, bird watching, hiking, and wildlife viewing in North America! Students and their families and friends take advantage of the outdoor activities in a natural paradise.

History also is abundant. The Fort Totten state historic site is the best-preserved frontier military installation west of the Mississippi. Visitors can take in an educational tour of the fort, dinner and lodging at the Totten Trail Inn, and an entertaining summer evening at Fort Totten Little Theatre, the longest running community summer theater in North Dakota.
