Student Activities

Join the student activities at Lake Region State College. It's a great way to meet your fellow students, get involved with your college and become a member of the Devils Lake community through volunteer work and events. There are many clubs and organizations to join and some even offer course credit for joining. There are also numerous intramural sports and activities Lake Region State College has to offer.


Brooke Darling, Bryan Seals, and Brandon Tofte will be heading to Washington, D.C. on April 23 to compete in ICDC (International Collegiate DECA Conference). These three freshmen from Lake Region State College qualified for the International Collegiate DECA Conference with their written Advertising Campaign event. They’ve been working with the Devils Lake Town and Country Club to prepare their Advertising Campaign since last November. They will compete in D.C. on Friday, April 25.


Student Senate/Government

Student Senate is the governing body for Lake Region State College students and the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Student Senate is made up of senators appointed by the adviser and is open to all students who seek involvement in college decision-making processes and communication with college administration.

Royal Ambassadors

Royal Ambassadors are influential to prospective students and to friends of the college throughout Lake Region State College. Ambassadors have a welcoming spirit to prospective students and visitors and serve as a positive role model on campus. Royal Ambassadors are paid and considered employees of the Student Services Division.


DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. The Collegiate DECA chapter at Lake Region State College attends various leadership conferences and is involved in community projects, fundraising and volunteering.

Phi Beta Lambda

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) gives its student members the opportunity to grow as business savvy professionals. It allows members at Lake Region State College to be prepared for the "real-world" after college. Activities and events include the state and national conferences, as well as the opportunity to network with other members.

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa is the largest international honor society for two-year colleges. The focus of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is scholarship, along with fellowship, leadership and service. With membership, Lake Region State College students can be afforded many scholarship opportunities.
