A native of Greeley, CO, Jared Marshall was named the 11th Head Coach of the Lake Region State Royals starting with the 2015-2016 season.
This will be Marshall’s second year overall at LRSC. He spent last season on the bench for the Royals as the assistant coach under Joe Kittell. The Royals went 23-8 in Marshall’s season as an assistant, it was the first 20-win season in over five years for the Royals. Nationally the Royals finished 50th or better in eight different statistical categories, including Points per Game, FG’s Made, Assists, Offensive & Defensive Rebounding, and Total Rebounds.
Prior to Lake Region Marshall spent two seasons, 2012-2014, as the Graduate Assistant at the University of Mary, of the Northern Sun Conference, where he received his Master’s degree in Human Performance and Athletic Administration. Before University of Mary he served as head boys basketball coach at Frontier Academy High School in Greeley, CO. Marshall took over the program when he was 23 years old and directed the team to a conference championship and a state playoff appearance. He was also named Frontier Conference Coach of the Year in 2011.
Marshall earned his Bachelor’s degree in U.S. History at the University of Northern Colorado. His coaching career started at Greeley Central High School as an assistant football (2007-11) and basketball coach (2007-2010).
