Volleyball: Away Games = Strong Fan Support for LRSC

By   Breanna Frelich

At these away games, graduates from LRSC have been spotted cheering for their former college athletes. It is great to see familiar faces in the crowd. These graduates haven’t forgotten their favorite home town college volleyball team. The volleyball team appreciates every fan that comes to watch them win!

It's been great to see the support for the LRSC volleyball program as they are currently 16-3. The heart of the volleyball season is upon them, as they will be traveling for many conference games in the upcoming week. Tomorrow you can look forward to the second home conference game against Williston State College at the Devils Lake SportsCenter at 7:00pm. GO ROYALS!

Freschette praised how hard the team has worked so far in the first two weeks of two-a-day practices and how they have gelled as a young team. "The girls get along really well and are already forming a great team."

The Royals will be in their second season in the Mon-Dak Conference which carries some "stiff" competition. Coach Freschette stated that the conference is awesome and she is looking forward to the competitiveness of all the teams.

Lake Region will open the season on August 27 at home against Presentation College with a scheduled start time of 7p.m. Home games will be played at the Devils Lake SportsCenter.

The returning players said that they are looking to playing Bismarck State College and the North Dakota State College of Science because of the competitiveness these two teams bring.  Look for the Royals to improve dramatically in this years Mon-Dak standings.
