Welcome From President Darling
Lake Region State College has been accredited since 1973 and serves a vital role in the community, region, state, and nation for preparing students for success. We serve students wishing to start the first half of a bachelor’s degree to students eager to enter the workforce in the areas of technology, health care, energy, business, law enforcement, and many more trades and technical areas.
We also strive to create an environment where students know that they matter. The college’s dedicated staff and faculty are prepared to help you reach your goals.
The Lake Region also is a paradise to outdoor enthusiasts. Spend the week studying here and the weekends doing anything you want from fishing, hunting, bird-watching, and more.
The college is near the largest natural body of water in North Dakota – Devils Lake – which is home to some of the best walleye fishing in North America. Great waterfowl hunting is found throughout the area and some of the best bird watching and other wildlife viewing is a few miles away at Sullys Hill.
I look forward to seeing you at LRSC soon.
Doug Darling, Ph.D.
